The new rating system arrives in the apps (App Store release notes for 1.15.2): earn your rank in calibration games and climb through 25 levels; a new chart on the Progress tab shows your rating over time; the daily XP goal is back on the home screen with an XP log; a fast-play setting lets Noctie move without delay; move-quality feedback can be set separately for games and review.

The opening trainer — a complete remake of the old repertoires feature — gains restart-anywhere drilling, deviation markers, ordered or weighted-random variation selection, bonus moves that take Noctie off-book, bookmarks, comments and annotations, multiple active opening books, folders, and opening-book creation on mobile and tablet.

The web app can be played by keyboard and screen reader — no separate mode to switch on; the Screen Reader & Keyboard Access Guide covers what works and how to test. The native iOS/Android apps do not support this yet.
