The current Noctie mobile app version is 1.15.2 on the App Store and Google Play. Below is every dated Noctie update — feature launches, roadmap items marked done, pricing changes and store releases — newest first.     New rating system: earn your rank across 25 levels

    The new rating system arrives in the apps (App Store release notes for 1.15.2): earn your rank in calibration games and climb through 25 levels; a new chart on the Progress tab shows your rating over time; the daily XP goal is back on the home screen with an XP log; a fast-play setting lets Noctie move without delay; move-quality feedback can be set separately for games and review.

    Opening trainer improvements

    The opening trainer — a complete remake of the old repertoires feature — gains restart-anywhere drilling, deviation markers, ordered or weighted-random variation selection, bonus moves that take Noctie off-book, bookmarks, comments and annotations, multiple active opening books, folders, and opening-book creation on mobile and tablet.

    Pick any named opening, import your own opening book or repertoire with multiple variations, or browse pre-made opening books — with a rebuilt creation, browsing and practice experience: quick restarts, clear end-of-variation and deviation signals, ordered coverage of all lines, bookmarks, and comments with arrows and circles.

    Chess.com and Lichess integrations (web app)

    Link your online account name on the Progress page, click the synchronize icon to fetch your latest games, click Review on a game to have Noctie review your moves and estimate your rating, and solve flashcards made from your opening mistakes, tactics and missed opportunities. Web version first.

    Themes — modules that combine instruction, flashcards and playable scenarios — reach 500 created by Noctie members; theme creation leaves beta. New built-in themes (Tactics 101, endgame checkmates, endgame essentials), hints in previous positions without a takeback, and the web app moves to app.noctie.ai.
