noctie.net is an informational website about Noctie. We collect as little as possible: no accounts, no forms that store personal data, and analytics that respect regional consent defaults. Your Noctie account and payments are handled by Noctie AB and its payment providers under their own policies.

Analytics and cookies
We use Google Analytics 4 with Consent Mode v2. In the EU/EEA, the UK and Switzerland analytics storage is denied by default; elsewhere it is enabled. You can opt out at any time using the link below.
- Google Analytics 4 is used to measure page views and aggregate traffic. IP addresses are anonymized. Advertising storage, ad user data and ad personalization are always set to denied.
- Consent Mode v2 regional defaults — for visitors in the EU/EEA, the UK and Switzerland, analytics storage is denied by default: no analytics cookies are set and no identifiers are stored. The Google tag still loads and may send cookieless, aggregated pings (page URL, timestamp, coarse device and network information) so that traffic can be modeled without identifying you. Elsewhere analytics storage is granted by default.
- Hosting — our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (IP address, user agent, requested URL) for security and performance for a limited time.
- No cookies are used for advertising, remarketing or cross-site tracking by this site.
Your choices and rights
- Opt out of analytics at any time with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on or by blocking cookies and third-party scripts in your browser.
- California (CCPA/CPRA) — we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. You may still ask what we hold and request deletion by e-mail.
- EU/EEA and UK (GDPR) — where analytics runs, the legal basis is our legitimate interest in understanding aggregate site usage; data is processed by Google LLC (USA) under its standard contractual clauses and kept for the Google Analytics retention period we set (2 months for user-level data, aggregated reports thereafter). You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, and the right to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority. In these regions analytics storage is denied by default, so we hold no identifiable data about you unless you e-mail us.

noctie.net earns a commission when you start a Noctie subscription through links on this site. This does not change the price you pay. Buttons that open Noctie first pass through our own redirect address
(owl.noctie.net), which may record that a click happened (which button, when) so
we can see which pages are useful; it does not set advertising cookies. You then land on Noctie's site with an affiliate identifier, and
Noctie's payment provider (Lemon Squeezy) may set a cookie there to attribute a later
purchase. That cookie is governed by Noctie's and Lemon Squeezy's privacy policies, not
by this one.
Third-party sites
We link to Noctie's website and apps, the App Store, Google Play, Discord and other third parties. Their privacy practices are their own; please read their policies.

We update this policy when our practices change and revise the effective date above. Material changes are noted on the changelog.
